The center of Turnhout is a 15-minute walk away. There is a cozy center with a large market with a church, many terraces, restaurants and cafes. The gasthuisstraat is a pleasant shopping street.

In Turnhout there is the castle of the dukes of Brabant, a medieval beguinage, there are museums and a large cultural center 'De Warande'
